Cosmos plantable seed paper

Cosmos are beautiful, wispy flowers that keep on blooming once they start. Caring for cosmos is simple, and they typically can thrive in hot, dry conditions. Once they establish themselves the first year, they should continue to reseed themselves for years to come. 

Cosmos attract a whole host of beneficial insects including bees and butterflies. They look fantastic in a wild pocket meadow setting, but they also work well in a more manicured landscape. 

These plantable cosmos seed papers are made with a combination of math homework, Girl Scouts' holiday cards and branding worksheets. Now we've reused and upcycled the used paper to turn them into a cozy home for Cosmos seeds until it's time for the plantable paper to feed the seeds and add nutrients back to your soil.  

These cosmos seeds were harvested from my pocket meadow where I have a variety of plants for birds, butterflies and other pollinators and are actually from my first generation of plantable seeds papers. All packaging is made from re-used, compostable materials.
